History Speaks is a free evening lecture series hosted by the Ephraim Historical Foundation.  For the June lecture, Erika Skogg will be presenting on Scandinavian-American photography.

Erika is a recent recipient of National Geographic‘s Early Career Grant and working on a photography project documenting the Scandinavian-American culture of Wisconsin.

Through this cultural preservation project, Erika also hopes to encourage others to become more interested in their family’s genealogy and immigration stories, fostering an appreciation for the myriad of unique subcultures within the United States with renewed understanding and respect of the continued immigration stories of today.
