Norway House’s newspaper, The Norwegian American, has created a new gallery exhibit in the Joan and Walter Mondale Galleri at Norway House. The exhibit’s inspiration stems from Editor-in-Chief Lori Ann Reinhall’s impressions from a recent visit to Norway’s Constitution Museum at Eidsvoll. Together, adults and children learn about the history of the 1814 Norwegian Constitution, which was largely inspired by the U.S. Constitution. Thanks to the support of donors and the Ventura Village Neighborhood Association, the exhibit features a children’s activity corner at Norway House to create a similar experience for visitors of all ages. The exhibit is presented to the public free of charge. Many of the activities are available online at democracy.norwegianamerican.com.
